Client Relations and Marketing Group (San Francisco)

POSITION: RFP Associate

DEPARTMENT: Client Relations and Marketing Group

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for responding to Request for Proposals (RFP) profiling RCM products and services. The RFP Associate will possess thorough understanding of all RCM products, investment processes, and organizational structure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to new business proposals (RFP) and consultant/client questionnaires profiling RCM, all products, and services
  • Maintain external Consultant databases encompassing marketing responses for RFP, product information, composite performance and statistics, investment professional turnover, and asset data
  • Disseminate performance and asset information on a monthly/quarterly basis to consultant community and RCM colleagues
  • Maintain internal RCM databases encompassing marketing responses for RFP preparation, product information, composite performance and statistics, investment professional turnover, and asset data
  • Answer phone calls from consultants regarding RCM products and performance
  • Support the Consultant Relations, Marketing and Client Service Teams (data gathering, new product roll-out, ad-hoc requests)
  • Support worldwide marketing offices with U.S. product requests for information
  • Play an active role in the new business process: help identify new business opportunities, determine product fit and viability, facilitate and insure quality control
  • Competitor analysis, market research and fee studies
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of team procedures and update as necessary
  • Mentor and train new departmental hires, support other colleagues as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and employee information
  • Attend and participate in Team and department meetings
  • Complete internal training and development courses
  • Special projects and general administration

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent proofreading, editing and writing skills, meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization skills, ability to perform efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Previous RFP experience preferred
  • Willing to pursue CFA or CIPM designation
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • Industry software proficiency desirable (Bloomberg, FactSet)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 1 or preferably more years relevant previous industry experience
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for communicating with internal/external colleagues
  • Knowledge of institutional asset management, retail, and consultant business
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions within assigned responsibility
  • Positive professional work ethic, self starter, team player

Client Relations and Marketing Group (San Francisco)

POSITION: Associate Relationship Manager

DEPARTMENT: Client Relations and Marketing Group

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting an RCM client Relationship Manager. Primary responsibility includes meeting client/prospective client daily needs and fostering value-added relationships. Associate Relationship Manager should possess thorough understanding of all RCM products, investment processes, and organizational structure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate (and attend as needed) on-site/off-site meetings
  • Responsible for production of and content review and data integrity in all client/sales presentations and proposals, ensure adherence to internal compliance and Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS)
  • Secondary point of contact for clients – anticipate clients’ needs, provide accurate information to clients and respond to ad-hoc information requests
  • Coordinate with various investment professionals to complete client reporting needs (performance, portfolio characteristics, attribution, etc.)
  • Maintain and disseminate all account information in departmental database (SalesLogix)
  • Prepare and maintain service strategy plans for each client
  • Communication and coordination of legal documents for new and/or existing clients: contracts, guidelines, revisions, ADV's, etc.
  • Assist in inception of new mandates, ensuring all internal parties, as well as client and consultant, are coordinated and updated on status of start-up
  • Coordinate quarterly client appraisal packages
  • Work with various third party data applications (Callan, FactSet and eVestment Alliance) to create consultant universe and manager search reports
  • Liaison with portfolio management, client accounting, legal and compliance on outstanding client issues
  • Review industry publications and stay abreast of industry events and trends
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of departmental procedures and update as necessary
  • Mentor and train new departmental hires, support other ARMs as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and employee information
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings
  • Complete internal training and development courses
  • Special projects and general administration

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3 years experience in client service, operations, sales or portfolio management support
  • Series 7 and 66 preferred or intent to inquire within a reasonable time
  • CFA candidate or intent to acquire
  • Excellent proofreading, editing and writing skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Computer application proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Industry software proficiency (Bloomberg, FactSet)
  • Strong Math Skills
  • Strong prioritization skills, ability to perform efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for communicating with internal/external colleagues
